An evening with Support Our Kids Japan

August 8, 2017, 5:00pm - August 8, 2017, 7:45pm

Kendo na hÉireann, in conjunction with the Charity 次代の創造工房 / Support Our Kids Japan, invite you to an evening with young people from the areas of Japan affected by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. This is a relaxed social event bringing together a group of Japanese high-school students with Irish students and young people. The Japanese students will tell us about their lives and their personal stories of the effects of the Tohoku disaster. This will be followed by some games and refreshments. It is open to all members of the public, but we especially encourage young people and students to attend. The Charity Support Our Kids Japan brings high school students from the areas affected by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and Tsunami on study tours to Europe and the US. Kendo na hÉireann is the National Governing Body for the Japanese Martial Arts of Kendo, Iaido and Jodo in Ireland. This event is kindly supported by the Bank Of Ireland Workbench Trinity #BOIWorkbench #Trinity
