The Irish Martial Arts Commission held its December executive meeting this morning followed by a review of the 2013-2016 strategic plan. This session, which was open to all IMAC members, reviewed what has been accomplished from the previous plan as well as the areas that need to be revised or renewed in the next strategic plan. Among the areas addressed were: anti-doping, elite-athlete support, public relations, Garda-vetting & safeguarding, as well as the vital role of volunteerism to IMAC. The 2017-2020 strategic plan will be formed at a strategic planning day in 2017, details of this event will be published to members shortly.
